Main New Features

• The VoiceGenie platform v5.5 now provides simultaneous support for VoIP and PSTN calls. Refer to the VoIP tutorial for an overview of VoIP and any required changes.
  
  
• Includes new call control extensions that allow "Talk/Listen Toggling", a feature that automatically joins and releases talk/listen channels, to simulate listening to multiple channels at once. The Call Control, Part 2 tutorial explains how to use this feature.
  
  
• Provides several new session variables.
  
  
• Supports two additional ASR engines - SpeechWorks OpenSpeech Recognizer 1.1, and BBN HARK/Byblos.
• Supports an additional TTS engine - SpeechWorks Speechify 2.1 TTS.
• Provides simultaneous support for any number of installed ASR engines. For example, a VoiceXML application on a platform with OSR 1.1, Nuance 8.0, and BBN HARK can switch between those three engines.
